I drag along more stuff for the dog when we travel then for kids! But the dog likes to come with when we ride bikes and there isn’t always a place for a drink. This is a soft silicone bottle, so as the water empties, it gets sort of floppy like say a hot water bottle, it doesn’t stay firm like a regular bottle of drinking water. The part the dog drinks from does hold its shape. The nice thing about this bottle is that it shrinks down and has a carry strap making it convenient for travel. If you take your dog out for a long run/walk or live in a hot climate, I see the advantage of having water to go.
